Self-assessment

The Defensible Scale Score

Ten statements provide an initial hypothesis across position, demand, monetization, economics and compound. The score does not assess company data and does not replace a scaling audit.

Position

Our customers can say in one sentence what we are the best choice for.
We win deals even when a competitor shows the same feature set.

Demand

A measurable share of new customers comes through referrals or direct search for us.
Our pipeline comes from a repeatable system with clear metrics per stage.

Monetization

Our price is tied to a unit that grows with customer value.
We have measured our customers' willingness to pay within the last two years.

Economics

We know our CAC payback per segment and steer by it.
Our gross margin supports a software multiple, even after honestly counting the people involved in delivery.

Compounding

For recurring revenue, our NRR is above 100 percent. For other models, a clearly defined installed-base cohort grows.
We steer churn in cohorts from the first customer month.
